

BEC Announces:
Bismuth Electroplating Solution
Brooktronics has developed a bismuth brush plating
solution available in both
alkaline based (BEC 65) and acid based (BEC 66) formulas.
This solution is designed to plate a high purity bismuth
coating directly onto most metals,
such as copper, nickel and gold. Other metals such as
aluminum may require a nickel
strike for improved adhesion. For more information please

BEC 455, Zinc-Tin VLHE:
BEC 455 can be used for repair of IVD Aluminum and
as a Cadmium replacement.
BEC 455 has proven itself as the only portable and effective
repair procedure for IVD Aluminum and features:
- Exceeds the corrosion resistant requirements of MIL-C-83488C
Class 1 and Class 2.
- No bi-metallic corrosion of the IVD coating, base metal of
the Zinc-Tin coating.
- Conformance to low hydrogen embrittlement requirements and
does not require a post plate bake.
- The deposit can be plated over steel base metals and existing
IVD Coatings with excellent adhesion.
BEC 455 is an environmentally friendly replacement for Cadmium
that exceeds the requirements of QQ-P-416 and features:
- Salt spray corrosion resistance in excess of Type I and Type
II Requirements.
- Conformance to low hydrogen embrittlement requirements and
does not require a post plate bake.
- The deposit can be plated over the steel base metals and
existing Cadmium plating.
BEC 97, Boric-Sulfuric Anodize
The latest solution in the BEC line for Chromic Acid
Anodize replacement.
The Boric-Sulfuric Anodize exceeds the requirements of MIL-A-8625,
Type I and features:
- salt spray corrosion resistance in excess of 336 hours without
post anodic sealing.
- easy room temperature application for selective anodize applications.
- environmentally compliant solution minimizes hazards to technicians
and environment.
